Interior Concept for Small Spaces
In early 2024, I developed and implemented a complete interior concept for a private Airbnb apartment. The goal was to bring style, functionality, and comfort into harmony within a limited space.
The planning included a cohesive color scheme, functional zoning, and the selection of all furniture and accessories. Beyond the furnishings, I organized every detail: from textiles and curtains to plants and bathroom essentials, all the way to a fully equipped kitchen.
In addition, I created the online profile, including visual language, descriptive text, and a target-group-oriented presentation on the platform.
The result was a high booking rate and numerous positive reviews.
Planning Process
The planning process began with the creation of a mood board and the definition of a cohesive color palette, which served as the foundation for selecting furniture and accessories. This ensured that the concept appeared harmonious from the very beginning, with all elements perfectly aligned.
I carefully designed the apartment layout to make the most of the limited space. The bed was positioned to comfortably accommodate two people while still allowing for sufficient freedom of movement. It was complemented by a fold-out table that can be extended when needed, but remains compact in everyday use, keeping the room open and airy.
The lounge chairs are vintage finds that I reupholstered to give them a modern look. They now blend stylishly into the room while offering a cozy spot to relax.
The bathroom was intentionally kept functional and uncluttered. A shelf provides enough storage space for towels and toiletries, ensuring everything is neatly organized.
The kitchen combines a minimalist aesthetic with practical functionality. At first glance, it looks clean and simple, yet the cabinets hold everything guests might need for a short stay: a portable induction cooktop, pots, pans, and other kitchen essentials are efficiently stored and well-organized.
A key aspect of this project was delivering it as a complete, turnkey solution. I selected, purchased, and assembled all furniture and accessories, so the apartment was immediately ready for use. This approach allows future clients to benefit from an all-in-one package—from planning and furnishing to the finished handover.
The result is a welcoming, cozy atmosphere that combines stylish design with smart, functional solutions.
