Apartment

Storage, clarity & atmosphere
This apartment design in Munich demonstrates how thoughtful spatial concepts can combine functionality and aesthetics. The focus is on smart storage solutions, clean lines, and a calm, inviting atmosphere. The following pages present each room in detail.
The goal was to create a home that makes everyday life easier while also providing space for retreat, lightness, and comfort.
Planning process
Every design begins with thorough preparation. In this project, the collaboration started with a clearly structured briefing. Before the first meeting, all relevant information was already available: floor plans, room photos, preferred style, color preferences, and decisions already made regarding flooring, heating, kitchen, and bathroom. This allowed me to prepare intensively and conduct the first meeting with a clear agenda and specific questions.
At the core of my work is always the question of how spaces are actually used in everyday life and which style feels authentic. Functionality and atmosphere go hand in hand.
The idea development starts visually with moodboards, which help to establish a shared understanding of colors, materials, and ambiance early on. Based on this, initial designs are created and then digitally visualized. Quick renderings allow variants to be efficiently tested and further developed collaboratively.
The coordination is flexible and personal. In addition to continuous exchanges via messenger, several detailed video calls took place to refine designs and finalize details.
What makes my design approach special is the practical perspective on spaces. Thanks to many years of experience in furniture and interior retail, including at IKEA, the result is not staged showrooms but functional spaces designed for real everyday life.
