Teenroom

A space for personality and retreat
The daughter’s bedroom was intended as a retreat while also providing space for creativity, relaxation, and learning. It was important to design the room to be functional without losing the teenager’s personal style and character. Through thoughtful furniture arrangement, clever storage solutions, and harmonious colors, a space was created that is both practical and cozy, reflecting the personality of its occupant.
Planning process
For the daughter’s bedroom, I created several designs to find the optimal furniture placement and to harmoniously combine all functions. Key elements included a desk, a large wardrobe, a vanity table, and an additional sleeping option for overnight guests.
Instead of a traditional sofa bed, we chose a pull-out armchair, which can be placed more flexibly in the room and is not fixed against the wall. The vanity was compactly integrated along the wall to make the best use of the available space without crowding the room.
Through this careful planning, a room was created that is functional, cozy, and tailored to the teenager’s needs, while still providing enough space for retreat, creativity, and personal expression.
