Although this room is the smallest in the apartment, it was designed to serve as a retreat for gaming while also functioning as a home office. The planning focused on practical storage for documents while creating space for illuminated display cabinets where special pieces can be presented in a stylish way. The result is a compact room that perfectly combines work, hobbies, and personal interests
Planning process
The planning of this compact room was very straightforward, yet structured. A brief consultation, a few photos, and the floor plan were enough to translate the client’s ideas into an initial design. Since the client had already selected some furniture, my advice focused mainly on optimizing the size and placement of the desk to efficiently accommodate both gaming and home office needs.
Despite the small space, it was important that the room remained functional while also serving as a retreat. I visualized the client’s ideas in SketchUp and tested different layouts until we found a harmonious solution for the workspace, gaming corner, and display area for the collection.
Finally, we created impressive, realistic images using AI renderings, allowing the client and me to experience the room in detail before implementation. Through this straightforward yet targeted process, a room was created that is practical, cozy, and individually tailored to the user’s needs
